The Secretary-General met with President Juan Manuel Santos to discuss the progress in Colombia’s process of accession to the OECD. Mr. Gurría also attended the 5th World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders and an OECD/Ford Foundation event on the Inclusive Growth in Cities initiative.

He also delivered remarks at a number of other events including a keynote speech on the “The Integration of Migrants and Refugees: Challenges and Opportunities” at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, and the launch of the Model G20 Program at American University.

The Secretary-General participated in the OECD Ministerial Meeting on Better Policies for Inclusive Growth and Economic Integration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region and presented a number of OECD projects. He also held bilateral meetings with the President of Tunisia and other high-level officials.

The Secretary-General attended a 1+6 Roundtable Meeting on the invitation of Prime Minister Li Keqiang. He also took part in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Chengdu, delivered remarks at the opening of a China-OECD policy dialogue on new approaches to economic challenges, and held bilateral meetings with high-level officials.
