Seminar on Financing Quality Infrastructure for Long-Term Investment, Viet Nam

 

19-20 December 2016 Hanoi, Vietnam

The Seminar on Financing Quality Infrastructure for Long-term Investment and Mobilising Private Sector Capital took place in Hanoi, Vietnam on 19-20 December 2016. The OECD co-organised this event with the State Bank of Vietnam, ADBI and it was sponsored by the Government of Japan. The discussions focused on:

    • Promoting Quality Infrastructure for Long-term Investment
    • Engaging the Private Sector: Role of Capital Markets for Long-term Investment
    • Green infrastructure financing and regional cooperation in green growth
    • Enhancing the Developemtn impact of Infrastructure Investment in Emerging Asia
    • Financing Infrastructure Connectivity
    • Vietnam APEC Presidency in 2017

As a follow-up to this Seminar, a Workshop on Long-term Investment in Infrastructure under the aegis of the Vietnam Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Presidency will be planned in Vietnam in May 2017


BACKGROUND

This event took place within the framework of the OECD project on Institutional Investors and Long-Term Investment. Launched in 2012, this project promotes long-term investment, including in real assets such as infrastructure, addressing both potential regulatory and market failures.
