Emerging technologies of common interest will offer opportunities to develop, standardise and harmonise novel methods and approaches into Test Guidelines. This workshop aimed to identify where practice and process could evolve for the OECD Test Guidelines Programme to remain relevant and useful to support country chemicals regulations.
7 February 2023 at 14:00-16:00 CET / 08:00-10:00 EST | This webinar will present the methods described in Test Guideline No. 125 to determine the size and size distributions of nanomaterial particles and fibres spanning from 1 nm to 1000 nm. During this webinar, you will be able to learn the use and limitation of this Test Guideline, as well as on the validation exercise that was done to support its development.
28-29 June 2021: The Seminar covered the efficacy evaluation of the different categories of biopesticides, new application techniques, efficacy evaluation of biopesticides based on plant defence inducers (PDI), comparison of efficacy requirements for biostimulants vs. biopesticides, how to evaluate different Integrated Pest Management (IPM) modules, and registration pathways with limited or no evaluation of efficacy.
10-12 April 2019: The conference on RNA interference (RNAi) based pesticides will provide an overview of the current state of the knowledge of RNA interference (RNAi) as it relates to the potential use of this naturally occurring mode of action in agriculture. This will be an efficient route to this information for policy makers, particularly given the large volume of scientific information that is available in the literature.
24 June 2019: This OECD seminar presented and discussed the potential use of genome sequence, bioinformatic tools and databases in a regulatory decision process for microbial pesticides.
Join us on Thursday 26 September 2019 @ 1 pm (CEST, Paris time) / 7 am (EDT time) to learn about efforts, successes and challenges in eliminating per and polyfluorinated chemicals of environmental concern from the life cycle of consumer products.
26 June 2019: The Pesticides Risk Reduction Seminar provided a good opportunity for experts in OECD governments and stakeholders to share their knowledge, experience and possible concerns in the area of Evolving Digital and Mechanical Technologies for Pesticides and Pest Management.
Policy instruments can be applied to improve the sustainability of plastics, including regulations, market-based instruments, information and voluntary tools. The report reviews the use of these instruments, provides good practice examples, such as product taxes and charges, eco-design standards, extended producer responsibility and environmental product labels, as well as discussing opportunities for their future applications.
Join us on 15 May 2019 @ 1 pm (Paris time) / 7 am (EST time) to learn about the latest Risk Reduction Initiatives for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances undertaken by Canada and the United States.
