Litsa Vavakis

 

Litsa Vavakis is an Advisor to the OECD Secretary-General.

 

In this role, she works directly with the Secretary-General to achieve his strategic objectives with a particular focus on education, employment, skills, social development and taxation policy.

Prior to joining the OECD in 2015, Litsa worked as an economist for the Asian Development Bank, where she designed development strategies for countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Earlier in her career, Litsa served as a senior economic, public and tax policy specialist at the Australian Treasury, which included a secondment to the AFTS Taskforce (Henry Review).

 

Litsa holds a MSc. in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is a Chevening Scholar. She speaks English, Indonesian, Malay, Greek and French and is a dual Australian-Greek national.
