This brochure explains in 60 seconds the main findings of the Review of Youth Welfare and Policies in Côte d'Ivoire. This study provides an in-depth analysis of the situation of young people in terms of social inclusion and well-being. Concrete public policy recommendations are proposed to maximize the impact of government action in favor of youth.
The OECD Development Centre offered a copy of the Youth Well-being policy reviews in Côte d’Ivoire to Cote d'Ivoire's Minister for the Promotion of Youth, Youth Employment, and Civic Engagement, Sidi Tiémoko Touré, during the European Development Days 2017 (7 June 2017, Brussels). Ce rapport dresse un état des lieux exhaustif de la situation des jeunes en matière d’inclusion sociale et de bien-être, ainsi que des politiques et du cadre institutionnel pour la promotion de la jeunesse. Sur la base des résultats de l’analyse, des recommandations concrètes en matière de politiques publiques sont proposées afin de maximiser l’action gouvernementale en faveur de la jeunesse.
Economic growth remains strong but still relies on exporting raw materials, especially crops, which are subject to variations in global prices and climate risks. Significant progress has been made in access to health care, education and social protection, but the past five years’ growth does not cover the strong social demand.
These ready-made tables and charts provide for snapshot of aid (Official Development Assistance) for all DAC Members as well as recipient countries and territories. Summary reports by regions (Africa, America, Asia, Europe, Oceania) and the world are also available.

The OECD Development Centre organized, together with the Ministry of Youth (Ministére de la Promotion de la Jeunesse – MPJEJSC), a workshop to discuss present and discuss the results of the Youth Well-being policy reviews in Côte d’Ivoire, developed in the framework of the EU-OECD Youth Inclusion project.
Following the first meeting of the Inclusive Framework on BEPS in Japan, on 30 June-1 July, and recent regional meetings, more countries and jurisdictions are joining the framework. The Inclusive Framework on BEPS welcomed Kazakhstan, Côte d’Ivoire and Bermuda bringing to 94 the total number of countries and jurisdictions participating on an equal footing in the project.
The OECD Development Centre, in collaboration with the Presidency of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and the Ministry for the Promotion of Youth, Youth Employment and Civic Service, held a brainstorming workshop to discuss "The National Youth Policy (NPC) 2016-2020". This workshop was organized as part of the Youth Inclusion project.
