Base erosion and profit shifting

Third edition of OECD Corporate Tax Statistics to launch on Thursday 29 July

22/07/2021 - How do corporate tax rates compare across countries? What factors are driving the variation in corporate tax levels seen worldwide? How are governments using tax incentives to support innovation? How important are corporate tax revenues as a percentage of total revenues, on a country-by-country basis?

The OECD report Corporate Tax Statistics and its comprehensive dataset will be published Thursday 29 July at 11:00 (CEST). The report provides internationally comparable statistics designed to inform the tax policy debate and support the analysis of corporate taxation, in general, and of base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), in particular.

Corporate Tax Statistics compiles data on corporate tax revenues, statutory corporate income tax rates, corporate effective tax rates, tax incentives related to innovation, as well as anonymised and aggregated Country-by-Country Report (CbCR) statistics compiled by jurisdictions based on CbCRs collected as a result of the OECD/G20 BEPS Project.

The report and data will be freely accessible from 11:00 CEST on Thursday, 29 July. Advance copies will be available to journalists under embargo the day before release.

Requests for electronic advance copies of the report, under embargo, should be sent by e-mail to ctp.communications@oecd.org. Journalists requesting an electronic version in advance of the release time agree to respect the OECD embargo conditions.
