Strength Through Diversity

The OECD Education for Inclusive Societies Project is designed to respond to the increasing diversity that characterises education systems, and seeks to help governments and relevant stakeholders achieve more equitable and inclusive education systems as a pillar to create more inclusive societies.

About us

Education for Inclusive Societies covers six major themes:

• Migration
• Ethnic groups, national minorities and Indigenous peoples
• Gender
• Gender identity and sexual orientation
• Special education needs
• Giftedness

Synthesis Report

This synthesis report by the Strength through Diversity project examines how education systems can respond to increasing diversity and foster greater equity and inclusion in education. It provides a holistic framework, examines five key policy areas, provides examples of policies and practices, and offers policy advice.

Policy Fora

The policy forum series aims to stimulate a discussion among key stakeholders on opportunities for peer learning and collaboration. Meetings are organised around different topics and convene a variety of stakeholders from interested countries.
