Guidelines for multinational enterprises

11th OECD Roundtable on Corporate Responsibility - Update of the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

29 June 2011 - OECD Conference Centre, Paris

Discussions on an update of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises were launched at the 2010 Roundtable on Corporate Responsibility. After an intensive consultation process the updated text of the Guidelines was adopted by the 42 adhering governments at the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting on 25 May 2011.

The 2011 Roundtable provided the first occasion for governments, business, labour, and NGO stakeholders and partner organisations, notably  ILO, UN Global Compact, IFC and the GRI, to discuss how they can contribute to the implementation of the updated Guidelines and support the OECD's proactive agenda for assisting enterprises to better cope with corporate responsibility challenges worldwide.

This meeting was organised in conjunction with the annual meeting of the National Contact Points (NCPs) which took place on 27-28 June 2011.
