  • Conference on Competition and the Digital Economy

    On 3 June 2019, to support the G7's discussions, the Autorité de la concurrence, the OECD, the Banque de France and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance are organising a high-level Conference on Competition and the Digital Economy. This event will promote an exchange of views and experience between policy makers, academics and competition authorities.

  • OECD-COFECE Workshop on Effective Cartel Detection and Prosecution

    On 26-27 June 2019 a capacity building workshop is being held in co-operation with Mexico's Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE), which will explore the techniques employed by competition agencies in order to improve their cartel detection record and case management, as well as techniques in cartel investigations, with a special emphasis on screening, dawn raids, and interview techniques.

    On 27 February 2019 the OECD hosted the inaugural Competition Open Day. This event was open to competition experts and government representatives, as well as competition lawyers, economists, consultants, in-house counsels, regulators, academics and the media. The OECD Competition Open Day offered a unique opportunity to discuss cutting-edge topics recently addressed by the OECD Competition Committee. The inaugural event in Paris included sessions on:

•  Vertical restraints and exclusionary practices in e-commerce 

•  Non-price competition in digital markets

•  Excessive prices in pharmaceutical markets

•  Gun jumping and pre-closing exchanges of information
