This event focused on how promoting sustainable investment policies can support the COVID-19 recovery, advance the 2030 agenda on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on climate change, and help to secure livelihoods for future generations. The event served to showcase the FDI Qualities Initiative, a package of new OECD work providing advice on how governments can encourage sustainable investment that delivers on the SDGs:

• the OECD Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Qualities Policy Toolkit

• the OECD Council Recommendation on FDI Qualities

• the FDI Qualities Indicators on sustainable investment in OECD and partner countries

This event launched discussions on an ambitious roadmap to implement the Recommendation on FDI Qualities.
