The OECD, in collaboration with the Financial Services Commission of Korea and Korea Institute of Finance, is organising the OECD-FSC-KIF Roundtable on Digital Finance in ASEAN on 18-19 March 2024 in Seoul, Korea (in-person event).
This Roundtable, organised with the support of the Government of Korea, aims to share knowledge about developments and policy frameworks around the use of financial technologies in finance, in order to harness benefits while addressing risks, and disseminate good practices in ASEAN and beyond.
The Roundtable will bring together high-ranking officials from finance ministries/treasuries, central banks and securities regulators from Asian and OECD member countries, as well as experts from international organisations and think tanks, private sector representatives and academics.
The upcoming meeting will include the following topics:
Confirmed speakers of the Roundtable include Soyoung Kim, Vice Chairman of the Korean Financial Services Commission; the President of the Korea Institute of Finance; and Carmine Di Noia, OECD Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs.
The new OECD publication “The limits of DeFi for financial inclusion: Lessons from ASEAN” will also be released on this occasion.
The Roundtable will be held at the International Conference Room (2F), Korea Federation of Banks in Seoul, Korea.
