OECD Going Digital Review of Latvia: Wednesday 10 February 2021

 

09/02/2021 - Latvia has made significant progress in Internet usage in recent years and is a leader in digital government services. A new OECD report, to be launched on Wednesday 10 February 2021, makes an in-depth analysis of Latvia’s adoption of digital technologies, skills and infrastructure.

The OECD Going Digital Review of Latvia compares Latvia to other OECD countries in areas like deployment of high-speed Internet networks and the use of sophisticated digital software by small businesses. It is the latest in a series of Reviews aiming to support countries in ensuring that the digital transformation brings the maximum economic and social benefits.

OECD Science, Technology and Innovation Director Andrew Wyckoff will present the Review’s findings alongside Latvia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Artūrs Toms Plešs, and Latvian Ambassador to the OECD Indulis Ābelis at a virtual press conference starting at 11:30 CET on Wednesday 10 February 2021.
