Systemic Innovation in Vocational Education and Training

 

This study aims to analyse innovation systems and strategies in vocational education and training (VET) by bringing together evidence of the drivers for systemic innovation in six different countries: Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Mexico and Switzerland. [Click Country reports for Country Reports] All countries taking part in the project have proposed two or three "case studies" of recently implemented systemic innovations in the area of VET.

 

The study will focus on the following aspects in particular:

• How countries go about initiating innovation
• The processes involved and the relationships between the main actors
• The knowledge that is drawn on
• The procedures and criteria for assessing progress and outcomes

 

Information on each country will be collected through desk-based research as well as country visits conducted by expert teams.

 

Publications resulting from the project will include reports on each of the six participating countries as well as a final comparative report drawing together findings and conclusions from the whole study. This project runs parallel to an
