Webinar on Women’s Participation on Boards: how best to make further progress

Webinar co-organised by the OECD and European Women on Boards (EWOB)

20 March 2024 | 14:30 - 15:30 CET (Paris time)

In the context of the OECD Gender Strategy and International Women’s Day in March, this event provided an opportunity to disseminate the recently revised G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance and the OECD Corporate Governance Factbook, with a reinforced message on the importance of board diversity to decision-making as well as new data.

Indeed, many countries require or recommend that publicly traded companies disclose the gender composition of boards and senior management while some jurisdictions have mandatory quotas or voluntary targets for women’s participation on boards - with tangible results.

The EWOB also shared their new Toolkit for Change, which proposes additional measures to strengthen the pipeline of women throughout the company, to enhance board and management diversity.
