Corporate governance of state-owned enterprises

Third meeting of the Asia Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Assets

 

The OECD Asia Network for the Corporate Governance of SOEs met in Delhi, India on 25th-26th June 2008, gathering high level participation from India and Asian countries.  The Secretaries from both Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises spoke at the opening of this meeting. 

 

Discussions focused on:

  • the policy brief on SOEs in Asia
  • issues regarding SOEs in Asia and other emerging markets, such as transparency and disclosure and equitable treatment of shareholders
  • the role of the OECD Guidelines and the soon-to-be-published Transparency and Accountability Guide as global references
