Text of the accession agreement signed on 11 January 2010 in Santiago by OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría and Chilean Finance Minister Andrés Velasco. Chile will formally become a Member of the OECD once its parliament has approved accession to the OECD Convention and the necessary formalities have been completed.

OECD countries have given a green light for the start of accession talks with five prospective new members notably Chile, signalling a new stage in the Organisation's drive to broaden and deepen its involvement with emerging new players in the global economy.
