The Africa Initiative’s 8th annual meeting brought together more than 150 participants from 27 African countries and 20 organisations. Representatives reflected on current challenges faced by administrations and highlighted the importance of exchange of information (EOI) and other forms of administrative co-operation in supporting domestic resource mobilisation in these challenging times.

Comprised of 34 Global Forum members, the Automatic Exchange of Information Peer Review Group (APRG) held its first meeting on 16-18 March 2020 to discuss key issues in ensuring that jurisdictions are putting in place what is required to deliver an effective AEOI Standard, as well as how the recent developments in relation to Covid-19 might impact expectations.

The fifth meeting of the OECD will take place in Melbourne, Australia in March 2019 and is expected to include representatives from over 100 countries across the globe together with officials from international organisations.

The OECD’s Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Initiative fosters policy dialogue and peer review in the LAC region. It covers fiscal, investment, public governance and innovation policies. This document describes the fiscal pillar of the Initiative, which aims to improve taxation and public expenditure policies in the region to support economic growth and income redistribution.

With 450 participants confirmed, the PCT will hold its first conference on 14-16 February 2018 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The conference will focus on the key directions for tax policy and administration needed to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
