Download the Statistical Annex
This web page serves as the statistical annex for the Africa’s Development Dynamics 2021 report, making public the data compiled in the production of the report. Scrolling down, you can view these data within your browser, download summary tables, or access the full dataset of all available indicators going back to 2000. You can also download the Statistical Annex as an Excel file.
All indicators that were chosen for the annex provide national figures for all or nearly all African countries, as well as most countries in the rest of the world. These data are presented both for individual countries, and for certain groupings of countries such as by continent, by region, by income level, by level of development, or by level of natural resource production.

More information and metadata
Data was obtained from various sources, including harmonised data sets of annual national data from reputable international institutions, as well as some indicators that were calculated by researchers working on the publication. The statistical annex will be updated regularly in order to incorporate the addition of more recent figures, as well as updates and corrections in external data sources. Therefore some differences between figures in the Statistical Annex and figures reported in the publication may reflect changes to the data tables made after the publication of the written report.
