Enabling effective curriculum implementation – co-creating the Teaching Compass

The hybrid workshop was organised conjointly with the Ministry of Education of Israel. Israel hosted the first meeting after a two-year break due to the pandemic. The aim of this meeting was to stimulate discussion between project stakeholders and to share innovative policies and practices to help to enable curriculum implementation.

The workshop highlighted examples from the host country, focusing on the Future of assessments with Internet assisted Examination and drafting the competencies of Future Ready Teachers.

The purpose of the meeting was to:

Advance the work of the Global Forum’s Thematic Working Groups, in particular, the co-creation of the OECD Teaching Compass.
Deepen participants’ understanding of the key concepts of the OECD Learning Compass through experience in action, e.g. student agency, anticipation-action-reflection cycle, transformative competencies, etc.
Reconnect Focus Groups and discuss the current challenges as well as next steps of their work programme of the year
Experience some cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in education through our learning visit via the Innovation EdFair
