Amar Bhattacharya (India), Director of the Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development (G-24)

Prior to taking up his current position, Amar had a long-standing career in the World Bank.  In his position as Senior Advisor and Head of the International Policy and Partnership Group in the PREM Network, Amar was the focal point for the Bank’s engagement with key international groupings and institutions such as the G7/G8, G20, IMF, OECD and the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Eliana Cardoso (Brazil), Professor of Economics at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo

A former "William Clayton Professor" at the Fletcher School (Tufts University), Eliana was also a Visiting Associate Professor of Economics at MIT, Yale, Georgetown University, and USP. She served as Lead Economist and Sector Manager at the World Bank, as Secretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance in Brazil, and as Advisor in the Research Department of the IMF.

Martyn Davies (South Africa), Director, China-Africa Network, Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria

He has provided business strategy solutions on behalf of listed and multinational clients in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America. Augustin Fosu (Ghana), Deputy Director at UNU-Wider

Prior to this position, Augustin was at the UN Economic Commission for Africa, Addis Ababa, where he served as Director, Economic and Social Policy Division, and as Senior Policy Advisor/Chief Economist. He was furthermore Director of Research of the African Economic Research Consortium, Nairobi. He has published extensively in economic growth and development and in labor economics.

Yasheng Huang (China), Professor at MIT Sloan School of Management

Yasheng's previous appointments include faculty positions at the University of Michigan and at Harvard Business School. He was also a consultant to the World Bank. His primary research interests include human capital formation in China and India, entrepreneurship, as well as ethnic and labor-intensive FDI.

Homi Kharas (Pakistan), Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution

Previously, Homi served as Chief Economist for the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific region, and as Director for Poverty Reduction and Economic Management, Finance and Private Sector Development. His research interests are now focused on global trends, East Asian growth and development, and international aid for the poorest countries. He holds a Ph. D. in economics from Harvard University.

Rajneesh Narula (India-Nigeria), Professor, University of Reading Business School

Rajneesh's research and consulting have focused on the internationalisation of innovation, R&D alliances, and the role of multinational firms in industrial development. He is the author or editor of several publications and editor-in-chief of the European Journal of Development Research.
