Non city-based economic strategies: Promoting Growth in All Regions demonstrates that there is potential to generate sustainable economic growth in all regions through the successful mobilisation of local assets. In this session, economic leaders from two non-city based areas within the North of England talked about their approaches to the economic development of their territories. |

WORKSHOP II: COORDINATING ECONOMIC ASSETS FOR GROWTH |
Co-ordinating economic assets for growth: Many places in the North of England have common industrial and cultural histories and share strategic linkages and assets ranging from key transport infrastructure and supply chains through to natural assets and resources. The Northern Economic Futures Commission brings together leaders from across the North who are working together to prepare a long term strategy for the North and this session explored the emerging rationale and evidence base underpinning this approach. |
