Mushirifah Idris is a Professor of eco-toxicology and Head of Tasik Chini Research Center Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is a field specialist in environmental toxicology. She gained her PhD in the University of London in Environmental Toxicolody in 1989. She undertook sabbatical research in the Laboratoire de cellular, Université Paris-Est Créteil and Hôpital Henri Mondor, Créteil in 1996. She was a consultant in the Programme and Research Development to UNESCO, Paris from 1998 to 2002 and is an EIA consultant.
