Ellen Hazelkorn is a Vice President of Research and Enterprise, Dean of the Graduate Research School, and Director of Higher Education Policy Research Unit (HEPRU) of the Dublin Institute of Technology. She also works as a consultant to the OECD/IMHE and is associated with the OECD Centre for Co-operation with Non-Members and the International Association of Universities (IAU). She is a member of the National Digital Research Centre Board, International Advisory Council of Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences, and review of Dutch higher education and is chairperson of the Teaching Evaluation Exercise, School of Art and Design, Aalto University (Finland). She is on the Editorial Board of Higher Education Management and Policy (OECD), Contributing Editor of Science and Society (New York) and on the International Advisory Board of Journal of Arts, Science and Technology (Jamaica). She was rapporteur for Assessing Europe’s University-based Research, and forthcoming Rankings and the Reshaping of Higher Education: The Battle for World-Class Excellence. In 2008-10, she has participated in OECD reviews of higher education in regional development in Catalonia (Spain) and the State of Victoria (Australia).
