Decides that in Member countries sufficient information on the properties of new chemicals should be available before they are marketed to ensure that a meaningful assessment of hazard to man and the environment can be carried out.

Decides that data in the testing of chemicals in an OECD Member country in accordance with OECD Test Guidelines and OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice shall be accepted in other Member countries for assessment and other uses relating to the protection of man and the environment.
