• Created in 2013 to engage with legislators on the progress of the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) negotiations.

  A strong community of leading legislators met more than 10 meetings along the negotiations, and will engage around the next phase.
  
  

• Objective: to allow MPs to follow closely the developments of the
  
  • international co-operation on tax transparency to put an end to bank secrecy and tax evasion, including the international standards on Exchange of Information
  • work of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS, where over 135 countries and jurisdictions are collaborating to put an end to tax avoidance strategies, and establish a modern international tax framework ensuring that profits are taxed where economic activity and value creation occur
    
    
• Its members are regularly updated on the ongoing discussions around how to address the tax challenges of the digitalisation of the economy. The Inclusive Framework made major progress by achieving a landmark agreement on two-pillars in October 2021, and now focuses on its implementation.

• Established in 2017 to focus on issues such as trust, lobbying, budget transparency and integrity more broadly.

  • provide a platform where legislators come together with experts to discuss challenges and foster best practices and peer-learning across countries
  • share experiences and knowledge with an emphasis on transparency for accountability, integrity standards, and global co-operation
    
    

• The group last gathered in November 2022, in an online roundtable during the public consultation phase of the draft Revised OECD Recommendation on Transparency and Integrity in Lobbying and Influence.
  
  As a follow-up, the group will meet at the next plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Network, on 4-5 April 2023.

• Established in February 2020 as the first international network of parliamentarians working on Artificial Intelligence
  The Group is fostering international co-operation on AI-related issues amongst key legislators in this field.
  
  
• Aims to:
  • foster AI that is reliable and trustworthy, that respect human rights and democratic values, in line with the OECD principles on AI
  • identify areas where international legislative co-operation on AI is most needed
  • mainstream AI in Parliaments to promote structural changes and emerging approaches
  • facilitate legislative peer-learning and collective intelligence around AI

  Since December 2020, the OECD Global Parliamentary Network and the European Parliament's Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) have joined forces to support legislative exchanges and share expertise and best practices around Artificial Intelligence policy.
