Diana Toledo Figueroa

Diana Toledo Figueroa leads the Education Policy Outlook, as well as other policy advice and knowledge mobilisation initiatives, such as the Education Policy Reform Dialogues. She is a Policy Analyst on Education Policy of the OECD Education Directorate. Since her arrival to the OECD in 2007, she has contributed to a large variety of OECD work on education, including large-scale data surveys (PISA 2006, TALIS 2008, Education at a Glance 2007-09), research on teacher knowledge based on the learning sciences (the ITEL Teacher Knowledge Survey), thematic analysis (Reviews of Evaluation and Assessment in Education: Mexico) and policy advice, implementation and dialogue in different OECD countries (such as Chile, Hungary, Iceland, Mexico, Norway or Scotland). As part of her work on policy implementation, she was seconded by the OECD to Mexico during 2009/10. Diana holds a Doctoral Degree in Development Socio-Economics and a Master in Comparative Research on Development from EHESS (France). She also holds a BA in Political Science from ITAM (Mexico). A Mexican and French national, Diana speaks Spanish, English and French. 

 

 

 
 


Jonathan Wright

Jonathan Wright is a Project Assistant with the Directorate for Education and Skills where he is currently contributing to the administrative support of Education Policy Outlook. His responsibilities involve supporting the team with administrative requirements, event planning, updating the project website and assisting with publications. Prior to the OECD, Jonathan worked for the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office at the British Embassy in Paris where he dealt with immigration matters. Jonathan is a dual national (British and French), holds a BSc in French and Translation Studies from Aston University (United Kingdom) and speaks English, French, Spanish and Russian.

 

 

 
 


Shiana Crosby
Consultant, Policy Advice and Implementation

Shiana Crosby is a consultant with the Education Policy Outlook team. Before joining the team, she completed a BA in Sociology at Northwestern University (United States)and a Master in International Action and Solidarity at the Institut Catholique de Paris (France). Her interest in development following emergency humanitarian aid, as well as her professional education experiences, led her to want to discover more about policy reform and analysis. Since arriving in early 2017, she has analysed trends in education systems within and across the OECD, as well as the evolution of their various education policies for comparative reports and country profiles. Shiana speaks English and French.

 

 

 
 

 
Niklas Olausson
Intern, Policy Advice and Implementation

Niklas Olausson is an intern with the Educational Policy Outlook team. While being involved in the analysis of education polices and trends for the upcoming report, he is also exploring software to create visualisation of policy data for the new online reform finder. As an economics graduate from the University of Gothenburg, Niklas holds a master in comparative politics and policy analysis from the University of Konstanz (Germany). He has also spent an exchange year at Sciences Po Paris (France) and is next looking to forward to joining the EU International Affairs and Diplomacy Programme in Bruges at the College of Europe 2018-2019 (Belgium). Niklas speaks Swedish, English, German and French.

Marie Ullmann
Consultant, Policy Advice and Implementation

Marie Ullmann is a consultant with the Education Policy Outlook team. She currently works on the monitoring and assessment of the evolution of education policy priorities and policy developments across a wide range of OECD and non- OECD member countries for the Education Policy Outlook comparative reports and country profiles. She joined the OECD as a Carlo Schmid Fellow in 2017. Marie holds a BA in International Relations and International Organisations from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and a Master in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy (Germany). She speaks German, English and French and has some notions of Dutch.
