‌	‌IPM strategies in crops and sectors are important to implement new approaches, innovative technologies and alternative methods in practice but also to validate the impacts as regards to socio-economic issues and the benefits of IPM uptake. They serve as pilots to test innovations under on-farm conditions, inform the farming community and foster IPM uptake.
