Meeting objectives
The OECD Water Governance Initiative (WGI) is an international multi-stakeholder network of 100+ delegates from public, private and not-for-profit sectors gathering twice a year in a Policy Forum to share experience on reforms, projects, lessons and good practices in support of better governance in the water sector. More than 80+ members will gather at the 19th WGI meeting to:
- Update delegates on the WGI’s contribution to global agendas and 10th World Water Forum.
- Share knowledge and experience on water governance for disaster management.
- Peer review the work on the blue economy and circular economy.
- Discuss progress on the Handbook for the local implementation of OECD Principles on Water Governance.
- Brainstorm on the next steps of the WGI for 2024-2027.
