Simonetta Ryan is a senior official of the Irish Department of Health and Children who is representing the Minister for Health and Children Ms Mary Harney, T.D., at the OECD conference.

She is the lead for the implementation of the health service transformation agenda recently agreed with the health service unions, other areas of expertise include workforce planning and regulation. She is the Irish representative to the OECD Health Committee.
