OECD/CVM Centre 2022 Annual Meeting - Financial literacy to meet LAC's future challenges

This event, hosted by the OECD/CVM Centre on Financial Literacy and Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, included:

  • A regional seminar Financial Literacy to meet LAC’s future challenges on 15 December, which focused on:
    • The role of financial regulators in supporting individual financial resilience across LAC
    • Digital innovation to improve financial literacy, inclusion and well-being
    • The role of private and not-for-profit stakeholders in meeting LAC consumers’ financial literacy needs
    • Financial literacy for Indigenous Peoples in LAC
  • A workshop on financial education in schools in LAC on 16 December
  • The 6th meeting of the OECD/INFE LAC Regional Network on 16 December, open to member public authorities from the region, which focused on financial literacy for insurance and pensions in LAC (Public authorities from LAC that are interested in becoming a part of the OECD/INFE LAC Regional Network are invited to contact the OECD/CVM Centre Secretariat)

 

High-level participants from Latin America and the Caribbean and from around the world included officials and experts from the OECD International Network on Financial Education (INFE), ministries of finance and education, central banks, regulatory and supervisory authorities, government officials, as well as international organisations, the academic community, the private sector and NGOs.

 

The event was organised with the support of ANBIMA, the Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Institutions.
