GREEN Action Task Force Annual Meeting

  • 11 - 12 May, Istanbul, Türkiye

The 2023 Annual Meeting of the GREEN Action Task Force took place on 11-12 May in Istanbul, Türkiye at the OECD Istanbul Centre in an in-person format. The meeting brought together official representatives from the region of Easten Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia (EECCA), and OECD member countries, as well as representatives from development partners, civil society organisations, and the private sector. One session was dedicated to the private sector engagement in strengthening climate resilience in Central Asia, where the Water, Energy and Land-use nexus approach was discussed.

 

EBRD 2023 Annual Meeting and Business Forum

  • 16-18 May 2023, Samarkand, Uzbekistan

The EBRD 2023 Annual Meeting and Business Forum was an opportunity to exchange knowledge, promote business activity, and set the EBRD’s strategic plans and priority areas. The nexus project was featured in a Discussion Panel Our food: go green and digital with the private sector. The Annual Meeting offered a dynamic programme of events and panel discussions attracting prominent participants from around the world, ranging from leading government officials, and financial and corporate executives to entrepreneurs, civil society, and international media. 

Central Asia Climate Change Conference

  • 16 - 17 May 2023 - Dushanbe city, Tajikistan

The 5th Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2023) brought together all stakeholders to discuss climate mitigation and adaptation actions and relevant initiatives to achieve cross-sectoral climate resilience in Central Asia. The OECD participated in a session on Water-Energy-Food Nexus under Climate Change.

OECD-SIC ICWC-EU Joint Workshop

  • 07 June 2023 - Dushanbe city, Tajikistan

This Joint Workshop facilitated a roundtable discussion on emerging and innovative approaches to enhancing regional cooperation on water and energy management in a changing climate in Central Asia.
