About WGI

The OECD Water Governance Initiative (WGI) is a multi-stakeholder network of 100+ experts, policymakers and practitioners from public, private and civil society sectors gathering twice a year in a Policy Forum. It is an international forum that provides a consultation mechanism and stakeholder platform to address water governance issues, where mutual learning and experience-sharing can take place and where useful water governance practices can be identified and scaled up.

The WGI operates according to a three-tier structure, including the Secretariat, the Chair and the Steering Committee, and working in close co-operation and co-ordination with the OECD Regional Development Policy Committee (RDPC).
