Ministerial Meeting 2012: All on Board - Policies for inclusive growth and jobs
Addressing the economic challenges
Following a working lunch discussion based on the OECD’s ‘New Approaches to Economic Challenges’, the Ministerial Chair, Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, will introduce the session ‘All on Board - Policies for inclusive growth and jobs’.
With the gaps between rich and poor in OECD countries at their highest level in 30 years, unemployment for young people in many countries reaching levels not seen in our life-time, and limited opportunities for women to climb the steep ladder to success, ministers are looking to make sure that all their citizens are ‘on board’.
They will discuss ways to increase equality and boost fairer growth, encourage employees to upgrade their skills and employers to fund the training, and smooth the path so women can access the education, job opportunities and family support necessary to fulfill their full potential.
