The OECD is committed to protecting the personal data it processes, in accordance with its Personal Data Protection Rules.
The OECD Public Affairs and Communications Directorate is using this website to collect personal data, including applicant’s first name, last name, age, gender, nationality, current location, email address, information on occupation, social media profiles and biographical information. This may also include the applicant’s image, likeness and voice and other personally identifiable information if included as part of the submitted content.
This personal data will be used for the purposes of selecting the members of the OECD’s Youth Advisory Board, Youthwise, for the 2023 programme.
All personal data collected in this application form will be processed and reviewed internally by the OECD.
Certain personal data of applicants that we collect through this application form may be used in the public promotion of the OECD’s work on/with youth and in the public promotion of Youthwise, including in OECD multimedia materials, documents, publications, on the OECD’s websites and on the OECD’s accounts on social networks including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.

If you are chosen as a member of the Youthwise Youth Advisory Board, certain personal data we collect through this application form may be used in the public promotion of the OECD’s work on/with youth and in the public promotion of Youthwise, including on the OECD and partner websites and on the OECD and partner accounts on social networks including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. This includes all of the application information listed in the above point, plus members’ last names. Our public promotion may be linked to your social media presence if you provide us with that information.
Sensitive information: We will not ask applicants for, and do not require them to send, sensitive information such as ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information concerning health and sex life or sexual orientation. However, if we receive such information voluntarily through the applicant’s video/essay answer to the main question, such information may be processed by the OECD, as described above. The processing of such information is based on the applicant’s consent given through the Application form.
Once they are submitted, application responses may be kept indefinitely as part of the archives of the OECD.
The OECD may use the email address that the applicant provided to contact them during the selection process, and if selected, after the applicant becomes a member of the OECD Youthwise Youth Advisory Board.
The applicant’s email address may also be used to send them information relating to OECD work and events on youth-related topics if they opt-in to receiving such communication.
If at any time the applicant wishes to opt-out of contact or be removed as a member of Youthwise, please contact youthwise@oecd.org.
The applicant email address is kept until they unsubscribe from the mailing list or until two years after last contact with the OECD.
