Tax Transparency in Africa 2020The annual release of Tax Transparency in Africa is a key output of the Africa Initiative. It informs decision makers and citizens, by providing comparable statistics on tax transparency as one of African countries’ response to the issue of illicit financial flows. Tax Transparency in Africa 2020 shows significant progress made on the two pillars of the Africa Initiative: (i) raising political awareness and commitment in Africa and (ii) developing capacities in African countries in tax transparency and exchange of information.

High-level launch event

Tax Transparency in Africa 2020 was officially launched on Thursday 25 June 2020, via a live webinar featuring speakers from the Global Forum, the OECD, the African Union Commission, the African Tax Administration Forum, the African Development Bank, the World Bank Group and the Cercle de Réflexion et d’Échange des Dirigeants des Administrations Fiscales. Zayda Manatta, Head of the Global Forum secretariat, presented the report's key findings.
