The annual release of Tax Transparency in Africa is a key output of the Africa Initiative. It informs decision makers and citizens, by providing comparable statistics on tax transparency as one of African countries’ response to the issue of illicit financial flows. Tax Transparency in Africa 2020 shows significant progress made on the two pillars of the Africa Initiative: (i) raising political awareness and commitment in Africa and (ii) developing capacities in African countries in tax transparency and exchange of information.
