Elena Bryan

 

Elena Bryan is the Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Trade and Development. 

 

Among her responsibilities is management of U.S. involvement in the Aid for Trade Initiative and the EIF and the assistance aspect of the WTO’s Trade Faciliation negotiations. She is also USTR’s liaison to the Millennium Challenge Corporation and supports the USTR is her role as a member of MCC’s Board of Directors.

 

Previously, she was Deputy Assistant USTR for Southeast Asia, managing US trade relations with Vietnam, Lao PDR mainland SE asia.  She was lead negotiator for goods market access and rules of origin in the U.S. FTAs with Singapore, Australia, and Thailand.  Earlier, she was Director for WTO Affairs, including development issues, in USTR’s Office of WTO and Multilateral Affairs.  She was posted to USTR Geneva during the Uruguay Round.
