Alex Foxley

 

Alex Foxley is the Executive Director for Chile and Ecuador at the Inter-American Development Bank. He was been at the IADB since 2006.

 

Between 2001 and 2006, Foxley worked at the Chilean Embassy in Washington D.C., where he was involved in the negotiation, political advocacy and implementation of the Chile/US FTA. He was also responsible for Chile’s export promotion strategy for the Mid-Atlantic region.

 

He has also worked on political issues, serving as a Senior Advisor to César Gaviria, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), and in several presidential campaigns in his native Chile.

 

Foxley is a political scientist by training having received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.A. in Political Science from Georgetown University.
