Fritz Scheuermann, CRELL European Commission, Italy

 

Friedrich Scheuermann works for the Centre for Research on Lifelong Learning (CRELL) of the European Commission - Joint Research Centre, IPSC, in Ispra, Italy. He specialises in the field of technology-enhanced learning and assessment, evaluation research and educational innovation.
During his studies of information science, psychology and informatics in law, he concentrated on human-computer interaction and societal implications of information and communication technology implementations. He started his academic professional experience at Saarland University and the University of Innsbruck, where he was mainly engaged with pedagogical aspects of eLearning design, socio-economic research and evaluation methodologies. As director of the Institute for Future Studies (IFS) in Innsbruck, Austria, he further oriented his work towards scenarios for future education.
At CRELL he mainly looks into the role of digital media for skills development and assessment and various aspects of measuring educational performance.
