- Plenary session
While the discussion in previous sessions focused on the role of domestic policies in creating the right domestic conditions to allow the potential benefits of open markets and technological progress to materialise in a fair manner across different groups and individuals within societies, this session:
- focused on the particular contribution that international trade and investment policy can make in this endeavour
- discussed the importance of global standards in creating free and fair trade and promoting more inclusive growth
- provideed guidance to the OECD on how to enhance its role in this regard
Following a plenary introduction session, Ministers convened in breakout groups.
