Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Shanghai on 26-27 February 2016
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Shanghai on 26-27 February 2016 to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting.
He presented the OECD’s view on the global economy in the current challenging context, combined with a strong call for collective G20 action. He also made leading interventions on the G20 Framework for Strong, Sustainable and Balanced Growth; on Investment and Infrastructure; and on fixing International Tax Rules.
While in Shanghai, the Secretary-General also presented the OECD's Going for Growth 2016 and delivered opening remarks at the G20 High-Level Seminar on Structural Reform.
Mr. Gurría also held bilateral meetings with several Ministers and high-level officials from China and other major economies attending the meetings.
