OJK-OECD Conference on Financial Inclusion, Financial Consumer Protection and Financial Literacy in Asia and the Pacific

The conference provided a forum to discuss global policy developments, best practices and share perspectives on financial inclusion, financial consumer protection and financial education policies to empower consumers. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference devoted particular attention to the growing digitalisation of finance and to policies supporting individuals’ and households’ financial resilience. Participants included delegates and experts from the OECD International Network on Financial Education (INFE), members of the G20/OECD Task Force on Financial Consumer Protection, representatives from the Global Partnership on Financial Inclusion, members of the International Financial Consumer Protection Organisation (FinCoNet), as well as other representatives of ministries of finance, central banks, regulatory and supervisory authorities, governmental officials, international organisations, the academic community, the private sector and NGOs.
The conference was co-organised by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), the Indonesian Financial Services Authority, and the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD). The OECD contribution to this event was supported by the Government of Japan. |
