Ensuring Transparency and Integrity in Lobbying

In seeking greater transparency in lobbying, Russia is hosting this international seminar which will highlight how different countries are using regulation to ensure transparency and integrity in lobbying. 

 

This meeting is organised by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the OECD and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and will feature presentations and keynote remarks from the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, representatives from the Privy Council Office of Canada and the United States Department of Justice, Russian NGO, business and trade union representatives.

 

The meeting will highlight the key requirements of a high-quality lobbying framework in accordance with the OECD Principles on Transparency and Integrity in Lobbying and will cover:

 

  • the risks associated with lobbying
  • international country experience in the legal regulation of lobbying (Canada & USA)
  • assessment of the current situation
  • future steps for ensuring transparency and integrity in lobbying

 

The meeting aims to facilitate dialogue and exchange amongst Russian stakeholders.
