The prolonged COVID-19 crisis has caused economic downturn, generating disruption on trade, tourism and production as well as causing socio-economic impacts – such shock has reverberated across the global, regional and national economy. The Southeast Asian region in particular has seen its impact pronounced in disruption on trade, tourism and production.

Since the onset of the pandemic, the OECD has been compiling data, analysis and recommendations on a range of topics – from health to education and taxes, providing guidance on the short-term measures needed in affected sectors and a specific focus on the vulnerable sectors of society and the economy – to help countries and regions navigate through the crisis with co-ordinated policy response towards a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable recovery.
