Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) Joint Training Events – 2015

The Global Forum, in collaboration with the OECD and other partner organisations, will hold several training events on exchange of information this year.

These training events will be open to government officials from all jurisdictions, including those that are not Global Forum members.

Training on Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI)

The Foundation Course will cover the context and general overview of AEOI, a high level presentation of the key terms and concepts in the new Standard and the confidentiality obligations.  It will also include a session on the practical implementation of the new Standard, including policy decisions, project planning and IT.  There will be presenters from the Global Forum, OECD and country-experts.  The format will be a mixture of presentations, round table discussions and break-out sessions. A sample agenda is available here.

The Advanced course will cover these issues in more depth, with additional time for technical questions and modules on areas of the Standard that are particularly challenging.  The Advanced course will be more participant-led, focussing on the sharing of implementation experiences and best practices.  It is aimed at officials who are familiar with the Standard and who have begun or are about to begin the implementation process, whether managing the implementation project, drafting legislation or guidance or considering the administrative aspects.  A sample agenda is available here.

Where there is limited seating capacity, preference will be given to jurisdictions implementing the Standard to a 2017 timetable and / or those from the region in which the event is held.  It is intended to hold an additional training seminar in Africa later in 2015.

Invitations to the various training events will be sent to Global Forum members. Please also note that training events are also being organised on Exchange of Information on Request and members will be informed from time to time.
