In light of the recent financial crisis and the pressing social, environmental and economic challenges facing governments today, this conference offered a timely opportunity to redefine the agenda for regulatory policy with a forward-looking perspective.
On 6-7 May 2010, Mexico’s Federal Commission for Regulatory Improvement (COFEMER) and the OECD organised the 25th National Conference for Competitiveness and Regulatory Reform, held in Hermosillo, Mexico. The OECD presented the conclusions of the working paper “Successful Practices and Policies to Promote Regulatory Reform and Entrepreneurship at the Sub-national Level”.
This meeting of the RPC underscored the horizontal role of the Regulatory Policy Committee in the OECD and the contribution of the programme of work to its strategic objectives.
