On 17 November 2020, the first pilot meeting on Multi-level Governance and Public Investment for Regional Development was organised.
Due to the COVID-19-related situation the meeting took place virtually.
Meeting objectives
This pilot meeting gathered representatives from 33 countries, including representatives from subnational governments, associations of subnational governments and other institutions.
The objectives were to discuss:
- how multi-level governance instruments and reforms can support crisis management and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic at all levels of government and also generate more resilient territorial development;
- how this pilot expert group can best advance the design and implementation of the Regional Development Policy Committee (RDPC)'s work on multi-level governance and subnational finance, as well as proposed deliverables for the next biennium.
