The OECD met with Latin American countries at its 8th meeting of the Latin American and the Caribbean Network of Regulatory Improvement. It presented the Tools and Ethics for Applied Behavioural Insights: The BASIC Toolkit, which help governments design and enforce regulations that increase welfare and economic growth; as well as the draft Toolkit for Stakeholder Engagement which will allow governments to prepare regulations in taking into consideration citizens’ and the business community’s feedback and point of view.
Member country representatives, officials of international organisations and stakeholders from the private sector shared practices and experiences related to regulatory improvement.
Attendance: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Canada, United Kingdom, the OECD and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
