The Indicators of Regulatory Policy and Governance (iREG) focus on three core areas of regulatory policy: stakeholder engagement, RIA and ex post evaluation.
For each of these areas, the indicators present information collected through the OECD Regulatory Indicators surveys. They gathered information as of 31 December 2014, 31 December 2017 and 1 January 2021. Data for 2014 are from 34 OECD member countries and the European Union. Data from the 2017 survey are from the 38 OECD member and accession countries and the European Union. Data from the 2021 survey are from the 39 OECD member and the European Union.
Each composite indicator is built upon four sub-dimensions or categories:
