2016 Conference of the Global Forum on Productivity: Structural Reforms for Productivity Growth

 

7-8 July 2016     Lisbon, Portugal

This conference brought together senior policy-makers, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss the following themes related to productivity: 

  • The role of public policy in stimulating productivity growth

  • Productivity spillovers, diffusion and public policies

  • Divergence in productivity and implications for inclusion

  • The link between trade, global value chains (GVCs) and productivity

  • Getting institutions right for productivity-enhancing policies

  • Public sector productivity

Objectives

The objective of this event was to share country experiences and address policy challenges to foster productivity growth. This dialogue was particularly important at a time when it is fundamental to promote the long term recovery of growth and improvement of living standards.
