    Assessment of merger control in the Philippines

    Manuel pour un traitement inclusif du genre dans les politiques de concurrence

    Quel est le rapport entre concurrence et problématiques de genre ? Les autorités de la concurrence jouent un rôle crucial dans la création de marchés équitables et prospères. Cependant, le lien entre la concurrence et le genre est souvent négligé. Ce manuel procure aux autorités de la concurrence les connaissances et les outils nécessaires pour intégrer les questions de genre dans leur travail. Il propose une approche fondée sur des éléments factuels, allant au-delà de la théorie, afin d’adresser des recommandations concrètes susceptibles d'améliorer la précision de l'analyse, de faciliter les enquêtes sur les ententes et d'optimiser les efforts de sensibilisation. S'inspirant de la recherche sur les problématiques de genre dans des domaines d’action connexes tels que la gouvernance d'entreprise, la lutte contre la corruption et l'économie comportementale, ce manuel offre un cadre complet pour la prise en compte des questions de genre. En intégrant ce manuel dans leurs activités quotidiennes, les autorités de la concurrence peuvent contribuer davantage encore à la promotion de marchés équitables et efficaces qui soient bénéfiques à tous les individus, indépendamment de leur genre.

    This market study analyses Ukraine’s electricity sector from a competition perspective. It provides a detailed description and assessment of the regulatory framework within which the Ukrainian electricity markets operate, as well as an analysis of the obstacles to competition in the wholesale and retail markets.     Competition in the Circular Economy

    In June 2023 the OECD held a roundtable on competition in the circular economy to discuss whether the goals of competition law and conceptual foundations of the circular economy are consistent. The discussion also looked at advocacy and enforcement activities to support the transition to a circular economy and whether any adjustment to the methodologies for the assessment of competition harm and effects is required.
