In June 2023 the OECD held a roundtable to discuss the theories of harm currently used in the analysis of digital mergers and the potential need for new ones, that could better allow competition authorities to meet the standard of proof when assessing anticompetitive mergers. In June 2023 the OECD held a roundtable on competition in the circular economy to discuss whether the goals of competition law and conceptual foundations of the circular economy are consistent. The discussion also looked at advocacy and enforcement activities to support the transition to a circular economy and whether any adjustment to the methodologies for the assessment of competition harm and effects is required.
